Five Years of Relic: A Journey of Determination and Passion

It’s hard to believe that Relic has been five years in the making. What started as a spark of an idea near the beginning of the pandemic quickly became something that consumed my life. I poured everything into this book—time, energy, creativity, and more emotions than I can count.

The journey hasn’t been easy. I queried literary agents, hoping someone would see the vision I had for this story, but rejection after rejection made it clear that Relic wasn’t going to find a home through traditional publishing. That was a tough pill to swallow, but it never made me question the worth of the story I had crafted. If anything, it fueled me to push harder, to take matters into my own hands, and to bring Relic to life the way I always envisioned.

The road to publication has been long, full of doubt and resilience. There were moments when I wondered if it was worth it, if anyone would care about this world I had built. But every time I sat down to write, every time I revisited the characters and the story that had become so deeply personal to me, I knew I had to see it through.

Now, standing on the other side of that journey, I can say with certainty that Relic is something I’m immensely proud of. This book is mine in every sense, and soon, it will belong to the readers who find their way to it.

Five years. A lifetime of passion. And a story that refused to be left behind. Here’s ‘To the Unknown’ and whatever that may hold.
